On arrival you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the operators of Star RV USA. Here is a summary of their terms and conditions:
The following definitions apply for the Terms and Conditions for Star RV USA.
* The Supplier means the operator of Star RV USA
* The Client is also referred to as the hirer (s) or renter (s) Driving License/Driver's Age • Minimum age is 21. Only drivers listed on the contract are allowed to drive. • All drivers must possess a driver's license valid for the entire rental period • If the driver's license from the guest’s own country is in English, an International license is not required. If the license is in a language other than English, we recommend that guests have an International Driving License, together with the license from their own country. For translation purposes, an International Driver's License will ensure ease of use in the United States. Please note that an International License is not valid on its own for driving in the USA. The International License must also be accompanied by a valid driver's license issued in their own country Long Term DiscountsAll units picking up or dropping off in Denver will be winterized as of October 1st Guests who love road trips as much as we do, and travel for more than 21 nights receive 5% off daily flex rates. This is also available to guests with multiple bookings across Star RV or Apollo brand bookings. This discount is combinable with Early Booking offers but not combinable with relocation or special offers. Mileage 100 miles included per day for the first 5 days of rental (max 500 miles) Additional mileage packages are offered for pre-purchase: • Individual or additional miles US$0.45 per mile payable locally • 500 miles package US$194 each • Unlimited miles package US$US$1,313 for up to 21 nights, then an additional $63 per night thereafter. Please note, no refunds are given for unused miles.
A non-refundable deposit will be collected upon confirmation and is deducted from your nominated credit card. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard (1.95% transaction fee applies).
The remaining balance is to be paid 38 days before pickup. A bond is payable upon arrival as well as an administration fee. The amount payable depends upon your excess reduction options booked with your hire. This amount is deducted from your credit card and is fully refundable when the vehicle is returned and meets the conditions of the Terms and your Rental Contract. Please see the Terms and Conditions for further details.
NOTE: full balance of payment (including the deposit) will be collected at the time of confirmation if you have elected to process your booking in a currency different to USD. Cancellation Fees
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply: If cancelled 94+ nights prior to pick up no further fee
If cancelled 93 to 63 nights prior to pick up and 7 nights or more after the booking date - $100 cancellation fee.
If cancelled 62 to 33 nights prior to pick up - 20% of Total Rental plus one way fees (minimum $250)
If cancelled 32 to 18 nights prior to pick up - 50% of Total Rental plus one way fees (minimum $250)
If cancelled 17 nights or less prior to pick up or no show - 100% of Total Rental plus applicable one way fees and Burning Man Surcharge if applicable.
We strongly recommend that guests ensure they take out the highest level of Travel Insurance.

Guests may visit any Star RV branch while on hire to have their vehicle cleaned and an oil and water check. Guests must call 48 hours prior to arrange this service.
Each vehicle is supplied with complimentary living equipment (such as cooking equipment, eating utensils.)
Each vehicle is supplied with complimentary campground guides.
*Personalized Vehicle Consultation
On pick up of the vehicle our staff will provide a complimentary vehicle consultation. This includes an explanation of all the interior and exterior features of the vehicle as well as driving tips. Group Bookings All booking requests of 4 or more vehicles for the same travel period is considered a group booking. Group bookings are subject to different rates, payment terms and cancellation policy. Even if the vehicles are booked on different dates but travelling together Apollo reserves the right to apply group booking conditions afterwards.
If you wish to make any changes to your booking the booking will be calculated by using either the original flex rate or the flex rate that is valid at the time of the booking change, depending on whichever rate is higher. There are no exceptions to this rule. The following situations are classified as booking alterations:
- Change of date for vehicle pick-up or drop-off
- Change of location (depot) for vehicle pick-up or drop-off
- Change of vehicle category
- Name change
- Change of rate scheme including special rates If the rate scheme or RV category is changed, it is considered a new booking and cancellation fees may apply to the original booking.
If an amendment is made to the rental dates within 14 nights of collection, no refund will be made if the length of hire is shortened (the rental will be charged at the number of nights originally booked). There is no refund for late pick up or early return of vehicles. A relocation fee may apply if the collection or return location is amended within 14 nights of vehicle pick up or if notification occurs during the hire.
Booking Amendment Fee
The first change only is at no charge. The first change may involve several aspects of the reservation. The second and subsequent changes are at $50 USD per aspect, per change.
If the guest wishes to extend the rental whilst on hire, they must first obtain authorisation from Star RV Reservations who will advise of the additional costs. Rental extension is subject to fleet availability. The extra cost of an extended rental must be paid by credit card over the telephone or at a Star Branch immediately on confirmation of the rental extension.
To secure an extension, the extra costs (calculated on the current rate of the day), will need to be paid by credit card, either over the phone or at a StarRV Branch at the time of extension. Of course, any long-term discounts in place, will continue to apply to the booking. We will always do our best to accommodate any extensions however it is subject to availability of our fleet.
Rental Charges are calculated on a ‘per night’ basis.
StarRV branches are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm, and Saturday from 8am to 1pm excluding 15 June to 15 September . From 15 June to 15 September branch hours are Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4.30pm Denver and Seattle are closed from the 01 December to 28 February. Branches will be closed Sundays and public holidays.
Vehicle Collection and Return

Additional fees apply outside these hours. Guests are required to phone their pick-up location the day before or morning of pick-up between 8-10am to schedule a pick-up time within the designated pick-up period. The Anchorage branch is not operating from 15 October to 31 March. RV Introduction and Show Through On pick-up, our staff provide guests with a thorough RV show through with all the necessary information guests need to know about the interior and exterior features of their RV. This ensures guests are comfortable and confident with their RV before they start their road trip. Awnings are factory-fitted to units for later sale. We do not provide instructions for these and we do not promote the availability of awnings for guest use. In the interests of minimising damage and costs of repair for guests, awnings are disabled from use.
Vehicles must be returned with the interior cleaned and holding tanks emptied. The vehicles
exterior does not require cleaning unless it is difficult to ascertain the condition of the vehicle on return. Fees will apply if the vehicle is not returned in the required condition.
Mileage (Included in the Premium Pack)
Branches are conveniently located near major airports, making pick-up and drop-off even easier for our guests. Guests can arrange transport to and from the airport via taxi or uber. Taxi/uber fare from the nearest Airport will be reimbursed on the day of pick-up, for up to US$50 (receipt must be presented for reimbursement).
Payment at Branches
For security reasons, Star RV will only accept credit card or debit card for rental charges paid on vehicle pick-up or drop off. Cash payments will not be accepted at rental branches. The Bond on the vehicle is only payable at pick-up by credit card.
Administration Fees / Taxes
A charge of 10.5% of the total cost will be levied to cover administration fees, government taxes, duties and other associated costs. Administration fees can be either prepaid or paid at the rental counter on collection of the vehicle. This fee will always apply to the vehicle charge.
Calculation on Administration Fees / Taxes when Premium Pack has been selected:
Premium Pack includes Administration Fees / Taxes on items included in the Premium Pack. This does not include the daily rental charge of the vehicle. For example: Vehicle = $1092, Premium Pack = $1365 therefore the 10.5% Administration Fees / Taxes will be $114.66 (10.5% of the vehicle charge).
Star RV only accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club.
Exchange Rate / Currency Variations
All credit card transactions are conducted in US Dollars. Due to exchange rate fluctuations there could be some variance in the amount refunded compared to the amount initially charged. We do not accept any liability for variances up or down. Refunds by credit card can take up to 15 working days depending on the guest’s Financial Institution. Rental Duration A road trip allows you to travel at your own pace. To ensure our guests get the most of their holiday a minimum five-night booking period applies when pick-up and drop-off is from the same branch location. Minimum booking periods may also apply during peak periods. Updates will be included with the weekly Flex notifications.
• The minimum rental is three nights for rentals commencing during the periods 1 April to 15 July and 1
October to 31 March.
• The minimum rental is seven nights for rentals commencing during the period 16 July to 02 September .
• The minimum rental is ten nights for rentals that commence from San Francisco from 15 August to 02
• The minimum rental period is seven nights for rentals commencing during 03 September to 30 September
. Minimum rental periods are subject to change during other peak periods.
One Way Rentals One-way rentals are available between all Star RV branches subject to a 7-night minimum rental period. 5-night minimum rental period applies for rentals that commence from 01 April to 15 July and 01 October to 31 March when travel is one way between Los Angeles, Las Vegas or San Francisco branches only. One-way rentals are always on request. We do not allow one-way rentals from or to Anchorage. Driver’s Licence and Minimum Age A current and full motor vehicle driver’s licence is required to be shown by all drivers at time of pick-up. If the driver’s licence is not in the English language then an international driver’s licence is also required. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit. The driver’s licence must have been held for at least two years and be valid for the whole length of the rental. The original driver’s licence must be shown at time of pick-up when the driver is present.
Drivers must be 21 years of age or over. Rate Inclusions To make things as comfortable as possible for our guests, our rates include: Wifi (data limits apply), Drop and Go, Premium Pack, RVs less than 9 months old, extra driver/renter fees, standard liability of US$1,000, public liability insurance, 24-hour Roadside Assistance, kitchen kit, propane tank refill (for hires of 14 nights or more in length) and valet service. • Drop and Go: Simply return the vehicle neat and tidy and we’ll take care of the rest including vehicle, cabin and bathroom (this does not include emptying the toilette cassette). • Premium Pack: a bundled extra which provides unlimited miles, 2x personal kits (sheet, blanket, pillow, bath towel and tea towel), administration fees/taxes on items included in the Premium Pack, vehicle preparation fee, (all pre-cleaning and mechanical servicing, 1st tank of propane gas, 1 roll of toilet paper and initial set of toilet chemicals), generator fee (unlimited use), camp chairs and table • Kitchen kit: includes dishware set, cutlery, frying pan, pots, cooking utensils and more . • Propane tank refill: every 14 days of hire guests can visit a Star RV branch to refill the propane tank (requires 48 hour notice). • Valet Service: Guests may visit any StarRV branch while on hire to have their RV cleaned and an oil and water check (requires 48 hour notice).
Vehicle Preparation Fee
A fee of US$231 applies on collection of the vehicle to cover the vehicle preparation and equipment. This includes all pre-cleaning and mechanical servicing, 1st tank of propane gas, 1st set of toilet chemicals and vehicle kit.
Each vehicle is supplied with complimentary campground guides.
On pick-up of the vehicle our staff will provide a complimentary vehicle consultation. This includes an explanation of all the interior and exterior features of the vehicle as well as driving tips. • Extended Roadside Assistance - $5 per day capped at 25 days. This includes opening vehicle on lock out, lost key replacement up to $120, emergency towing up to 15 miles, jump start, flat tyre change using spare located in the vehicle, fuel delivery up to 5 gallons. Non-mechanical issues are not covered and guests may be required to take the RV to a repairer.
• Windscreen and Tyre Protection Plus Extended Roadside Assistance - $10 per day capped at 25 days. This includes 1 windscreen, 2 tyres, opening vehicle on lock out, lost key replacement up to $120, emergency towing up to 15 miles, jump start, flat tyre change using spare located in the vehicle, fuel delivery up to 5 gallons.

Frequently Asked Questions What age must a child be to travel in an Star RV Holidays vehicle? Children of any age are welcome to travel in our RVs. It is the Parent/Guardian's responsibility to ensure all children are properly secured in an appropriate child restraint device for their weight and height.
Which types of seat belts are in the rear cabin of Star RV Holidays vehicles? The rear cabins of our RVs are equipped with lap belts only.
In addition to side-facing and rear-facing seats, are there forward-facing seats in the rear cabin of Star RV Motorhome Holidays vehicles? Yes. There are forward-facing seats in the dinette or on the rear sofa. The number of forward-facing seats in the rear cabin differs based on the type of vehicle rented. For further detail, please reference the table below.
Do Star RV Motorhome Holidays vehicles contain tether points or anchors? Most, but not all, of our RVs contain 1 or 2 tether points. Our RVs do not contain anchors. For further detail, please reference the table below.
Who is responsible for fitting the child restraint device in the vehicle? It is the Parent/Guardian's responsibility to fit the child restraint device in the vehicle. The Parent/Guardian should ensure all children are properly secured in an appropriate child restraint device.
Is it possible to deactivate the front passenger seat airbag in an Star RV Motorhome Holidays vehicle? No. It is not possible to deactivate the front passenger seat airbag in any of our RVs.
Do you have child restraint devices available for rent? All Star RV Motorhome Holidays branches in the United States have child restraint devices (Infant Seats, Child Seats & Booster Seats) available to rent for a fee. User manuals for each child restraint device are available. All our child restraint devices meet federal safety standards. We recommend advance booking to ensure availability.
Can a Booster Seat Be Used in an Star RV Motorhome Holidays vehicle? Yes, but please be aware that the rear seats in our RVs contain only lap belts.
Can Parents/Guardians bring their own child restraint devices? Yes. Guests can bring their own child restraint devices. Maximum Child Restraints Per Vehicle
Consecutive Motorhome/Campervan rentals can be combined to qualify for a long-term discount rate. Rentals in the United States of America, Australia and New Zealand on Star RV, Apollo, Cheapa Campa and Hippie Camper can be combined to obtain a long-term discount rate, providing travel is within a 3 month period. If drop off of a vehicle and pick-up of a new vehicle occurs on the same day then a night each will be charged per respective vehicle. Multiple rentals are treated as separate rentals under the one way fee and minimum rental period conditions. This discount does not apply to completed bookings.
Travel Restrictions Not all RVs are suitable for all driving situations, so it’s important the right RV is chosen for the travel planned. StarRV at its discretion may restrict RV travel in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the rental period. For the safety of guests, the following travel restrictions are in place: Prohibited Travel Areas Travel in the following areas is strictly prohibited at all times: • Logging and non-public roads. • Any and all unnumbered roads and highways. • Denali Highway in Alaska • North Canol Highway in the Yukon • Dalton Highway (north of Livingood) • Eagle, Alaska (Hwy 5 north) from the junction of Hwy 9 (Top of the World Highway) and Hwy 5 west • McCarthy Road between Chitina and McCarthy, Alaska • Highway 500 (Trans Labrador Highway) from Goose Bay to Labrador City • Highway 389 from Labrador City to Baie Comeau • Highway 510 from Red Bay to Happy Valley-Goose Bay • Highway 167 north of La Doré • Highway 109 and Baie James Road, Quebec • Vehicles are not permitted to enter Mexico at any time. • Manhattan: due to restrictions on RV heights, propane gas and parking, RV with propane are not permitted in Manhattan and are not permitted to travel through any underground or underwater tunnels. Travel Restricted Areas • Travel to Death Valley is limited to the low season (15 September through 15 May) due to extremely high temperatures causing engine failures. We do not permit our RVs to enter Death Valley from 16 May through to 14 September. At other times guests visiting these areas at their own risk will be responsible for all recovery and other charges. Travel on the Dempster Highway in the Yukon is not permitted between 15 September and 14 May due to road conditions. We are happy for our guests to travel on this road between 15 May and 14 September Guests who travel to Prohibited and Restricted areas without permission will be subject to a US$1500.00 penalty and will void all insurance coverage. Star RV reserves the right to restrict driving access at any time. These restrictions may be applied at the time of pick-up.
Mexico, Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories & Newfoundland:
Travel to Mexico, Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories & Newfoundland is strictly prohibited.
Due to restrictions on vehicle heights, propane gas and parking, vehicles with propane are not permitted in Manhattan and are not permitted to travel through any underground or underwater tunnels.
Peak Season Surcharge
When a rental commences between the 16th August to the 2nd September, an additional surcharge os US$500 will automatically apply.
Burning Man Festival (25th August to 2nd September)
An additional surcharge of US$2000 will apply for any pick-ups from San Francisco/Oakland and US$2000 will apply for any pick-ups from any other location for travel to the Burning Man Festival. Intention to travel to Burning Man must be advised at the time of booking. * Dates are correct at the time of release. Dates are subject to change. Burning Man If picking up from any location between the 1st and 24th August and attending Burning Man a fee of $2000 will apply. EDC If picking up from LAS between the 1st and 16th May and attending EDC a fee of $750 will apply. Picking up within the above dates and not travelling to a festival will not incur a surcharge.
Colorado Road Safety Fee
A surcharge of US$2 per night (maximum US$90 per booking) applies to all rentals picking up from the Denver branch.
Change of Drop Off Destination
If the guest wishes to change the drop off destination after the rental has commenced, they first must obtain authorisation from the Star RV Head Office. Subject to the change being approved, a minimum additional charge of US$700 will apply.
All motorhomes must be winterized when travelling in freezing conditions. This includes the water pipes, toilet, fresh water tanks, sinks, shower, water filter, water heater and all holding tanks. Winterization requires that the water be drained from the fresh water tank, water pipes, water filter, water heater and all waste tanks.
Once the vehicle is winterized, no water can be put into the fresh water tank and it cannot be hooked up to the city water supply. Therefore, no water is available in the motorhome. The toilet can be used only if non-toxic RV antifreeze is used to manually rinse and flush.
Vehicles picking up from a branch where the temperature is 35 degrees Fahrenheit or below will be winterized.
It is the renters’ responsibility to have the vehicle winterized while on a trip at his/her owns expense should the weather conditions require.
The renter is also financially responsible for having the vehicle re-winterized on the return trip if the vehicle was winterized at the time of pick-up.
A US$150 re-winterization fee will be charged by Apollo Motorhome Holidays if the vehicle is returned non-winterized when the temperature is 35 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
The renter will be fully responsible for any damages to the plumbing and water systems caused by freezing during their trips.
All units picking up or dropping off in Denver will be winterized as of October 1st.
Repairs We understand that while on holiday the RV may require small repairs or small items included in the kitchen kit may need replacement. So not to disrupt the road trip any further, if the damage was not caused by the guest, repairs up to $100 can be completed without authorisation and will be reimbursed. If repairs over $100 are needed, the Apollo Assist team needs to be informed prior to repair being completed. All RVs are covered for 24hr mechanical emergency roadside assistance. Holiday Disruption Coverage
Should the hirer’s motorhome holiday be disrupted by a mechanical breakdown as defined below (which does not
extend to accident or damages caused by the renter), for more than 48 working hours after reporting to Apollo, the
renter will be reimbursed up to a maximum of the gross nightly rental rate for each night affected until the problem
is rectified. Failure of mechanical and accessories which includes living cabin air conditioner, water pump,
shower/toilet, refrigerator, stove/grill must be assessed by a branch or authorized repairer. Reimbursement is only
possible when Apollo has been contacted to rectify the problem and the hirer cooperates to do so. Failure to notify
Apollo acknowledges that the issues are of such a minor nature that the hirer makes no claim for loss of time in
respect of their rental. Defects and repairs of Wi-Fi, travel devices, radio, TV, CD or DVD player, awning, cruise
control, etc. are not considered mechanical breakdowns and are excluded from Holiday Disruption Coverage.
The following conditions results in the compromised performance of accessories and as such Apollo will not be held
liable for financial compensation:
- Air conditioners in temperatures over 97 degrees Fahrenheit
- Electric and Propane Gas heaters in temperatures under 40 degrees Fahrenheit
- Freezing of water pumps in temperatures below 36 degrees Fahrenheit
Infringements and Administration Fees StarRV will pass on any charges the guest receives for traffic infringements, toll way or parking fines during their road trip. No one likes unexpected surprises or additional administration fees, so we’ll only pass on to guests the exact amount of the fine or charge received.
Change Of Vehicle
Should the vehicle booked be unavailable through unforeseen circumstances, Star RV reserves the right to substitute an alternative vehicle without prior notification and at no extra cost. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the guest to a refund.
Vehicles cannot be requested by make or model, only by vehicle category.
Powered Site Bookings
Powered sites can be difficult to manage during high season. Star RV recommends guests make a reservation for at least a 33ft vehicle, irrespective as to the size of the motorhome reserved, to avoid problems due to possible upgrades.
Should the guest decide to take a lesser vehicle than booked they will not be entitled to any refund.
Limit of Liability
In the event of no alternative vehicle being available to the guest, Star RV’s liability is limited to a refund of the hire charge or in the case of mechanical failure (unless caused by the guest) the remainder of the hire period.
Star RV reserves the right to refuse any rental at our discretion.
Service animals are permitted to travel in our RVs with prior permission from StarRV and pets are permitted. A fee of $300 will be imposed for pets inside the RV to cover the costs of sanitizing and cleaning.
Smoking is not allowed in our RVs. A penalty of $500 will be imposed for smoking inside the RV to cover the costs of sanitizing and cleaning
Public Liability Insurance:
Public Liability Insurance is included in the nightly rental rate. The public liability insurance that covers the registered drivers is only up to the statutory limit as stipulated by law of the State you are in at the time. This insurance amount is normally very low. For a higher insurance amount refer to the Supplemental Liability Insurance offered as a value added service.
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI)
Optional SLI provides guests with an increased limit of liability protection for 3rd party damage claims up to US$1 million. Pricing available at pick-up.
The guest is responsible up to the amount of US$1,000 for the cost of damage to the rented RV. The guest is also responsible for the cost of business loss of use for the period the RV is unavailable due to repairs. The Liability is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident is reported to Apollo, not at the completion of the rental period Apollo’s rental charge includes a Standard Liability of US$1,000.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) – (Included in the Premium Pack)
A US$0 (zero) responsibility applies. This option can be purchased by paying to Star RV
- The maximum amount payable for this option per rental is US$800 (40 nights rental).
- The minimum amount payable for this option per rental will be based on the minimum rental period applicable for the particular rental (e.g. 7 nights for rentals during the high season).
CDW protects against:
- Accidental damages
- Windscreen (1 windscreen covered per rental)
- Protection against theft and graffiti
- Protection against uninsured motorists
- Tyre damage (2 tyres covered per rental)
A Bond of US$500 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract. This Bond is payable to Apollo by an open signed credit card imprint with an authorisation obtained (sufficient funds must be available) for US$500.
Security Deposit For security purposes, only a credit card can be used to provide a security deposit. The credit card holder must be present and able to sign for the security deposit upon RV collection. The credit card holder must be the main guest on the Rental Agreement as is jointly and severally liable for any damage to the rental RV. The security deposit is fully refundable when the RV is returned to the correct location on time, is full of fuel and all other terms of the Rental Contract have been complied with. If there is damage to the RV on its return, the security deposit will be used to cover the cost of such damage up to the amount of the relevant Liability. However, if the terms of the Rental Contract are breached and the security deposit is insufficient to cover the damage, extra costs will be charged. Security deposit rollovers are permitted for StarRV multi hires only within the same country when the security deposit is charged.
At all times the guest is responsible for:
• Damage caused where the terms of Rental Contract have been breached.
• Damage caused by negligence.
• Damage caused to the Vehicle in any way by part or total water submersion or salt water.
• Damage caused due to a single vehicle roll over.
• Damage caused to the Vehicle by the guest’s wilful conduct.
• Damage caused to the Vehicle when using the Vehicle in contravention of any legislation or regulation controlling vehicular traffic. • Damage caused by incorrect use of snow chains
• Damage or loss caused to any personal belongings.
• Damage caused due to use of incorrect or contaminated fuel.
• Damage to the awning, slide out, overhead or underbody of the Vehicle.
• Damage to tyres and windscreens except where Windscreen and Tire Protection Plus Extended Roadside Assistance has been purchased and applies
• Damage caused to the plumbing and water systems of the vehicle caused by freezing.
• Damages caused by neglecting proper operating procedures, e.g. incorrect fuel type and quality, ignoring oil or coolant levels, air pressure, etc.

The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.
When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. If you encounter issues with the vehicle whilst on hire, you MUST report these issues directly to the relevant supplier at the earliest possible time. This will allow the supplier to remedy any issues and minimise any inconvenience to you. If you fail to report any vehicle issues during your rental, it is likely that compensation will not be offered. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 2% credit card or debit card surcharge will be added when your payment is processed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency): 25.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
